The ULTIMATE Home Inspection experience

Residential home inspection services

In the process of buying a home? This can be a very stressful time because it can possibly be the most expensive investment of your life! Having a quality home inspection can help lower that stress.

There are a lot of moving parts of buying a home and we try to keep it simple and move the process along smoothly.

Relax, home inspections are not a pass or fail! They normally point out normal maintenance recommendations, expected life expectancies, and minor issues. However, sometimes we do stumble across a defect in a home that you may have not noticed on your initial walk through.

These defects tend to be not noticeable but can cause issues down the road if they are not addressed. An example of this is a leak in the roof. It starts out small. but water will continue to deteriorate the house until the problem is found and fixed.

No home is perfect so we try and find issues to ensure you are in a healthy home and you are making a safe investment for your future!

What is inspected During a General home inspection

As a member on InterNACHI we are required to inspect certain aspects of a house when they are accessible. These components are:

  • Skylight, chimney and other roof penetrations
  • Roof, vents, flashings, and trim
  • Eaves, soffit, and fascia
  • Decks, stoops, porches, walkways, and railings
  • Grading and drainage
  • Basement, foundation, and crawlspace
  • Water penetration and foundation movement
  • Heating systems
  • Cooling systems
  • Main water shut off valves,
    Water heating system
  • Interior plumbing fixtures and faucets
  • Drainage sump pumps with accessible floats
  • Electrical service line and meter box,

I recommend looking over  InterNACHI Standards of Practice
